Hinweise
This beautifully original music was composed by seventeen-year-old Francis Reneau as a living memorial to his music teacher, Mrs. Laura Staine, who died tragically in an automobile accident in 1970.
First performed in May, 1971, the MASS IN BLUES and the hauntingly melodic, yet deeply optimistic, lyrics of "Laura," "Why," "Help Me Accept," and "Silent the Night," give testimony to the searching by a young man for the meaning and purpose of life.
The MASS IN BLUES is a gloriously moving tribute which transcends denominational dogmas and speaks to the hearts of people of all ages, races, and creeds.
MISSION SINGERS: Representing a mixture of races and creeds, this troupe of talented musicians was selected to represent Belize on a tour of the United States, sponsored by the Michigan Partners of the Americas, Inc. An immediate hit everywhere, they have a repertoire ranging from the "rock mass" to pop songs to the rhythmic songs of the Caribbean.
BELIZE: Located midway between North and South America, fronting on the beautiful Caribbean and backed by the mystic land of the Maya, Belize (British Honduras) is a tiny country with a heart which encompasses the world. Peaceful and tranquil, yet alive and vibrant to the world around him, the Belizean loves the sea, his semi-tropical land, and his unique English heritage.
