Funny Times is the debut comedy studio album released by British comedian Harry Hill. The album was released on 29 November 2010. The album was originally due to be entitled Sergeant Peppers II, but due to copyright issues, it was later retitled to Funny Times. The album is perhaps best known for featuring the song Ken, a song about Ken Barlow, a character on television soap Coronation Street played by William Roache. Harry is the fourth studio album by Harry Nilsson, released August 1969 on RCA. It was his first album to get onto Billboard Magazine's Billboard 200 chart, remaining there for 15 weeks and reaching 120. Harry features jazz saxophonist Tom Scott, pianist Mike Melvoin, flutist Jim Horn, session drummer Jim Gordon, Larry Knechtel on bass, and David Cohen and Howard Roberts on guitars. Ken from the album Funny Times. Corrie Street stalwart William Roache could be headed for the charts - after teaming up with Harry Hill to work on his album. Roache, 78, recorded his spoken word vocal specially for the track Ken, which is billed as an Ennio Morricone-style 'Spaghetti Western-inspired paean to Ken Barlow'. It also features a Mariachi-style trumpet rendition of the Corrie theme tune. Also featuring on the album are stars such as Bruce Forsyth, who duets with Hill on Paul Anka and Sammy Davis Jr's I'm Not Anyone. Newsround creator John Craven also appears on the album on a track called Never Be Holly Willoughby Symphony.
